When I was diagnosed with PSC in 2001, I read about olympic snowboarder Chris Klug. He also had PSC, and underwent liver transplant surgery in 2000. He recovered to compete again in the 2002 olympics and win a bronze medal. His story inspired me to hope while I was sick, and to persevere through my own transplant recovery to be able to run marathons again. He organized the Chris Klug Foundation to educate and inspire others about the importance of organ and tissue donation. I am running the New York City Marathon this year to raise money for this fantastic organization - and to finally thank Chris in person for his inspiring story! Please click the big DONATE button and help the foundation reach more people with the life-saving message of organ & tissue donation.
