In the ultimate expedition race in which teams will race non-stop, 24 hours a day, across hundreds of miles of rugged backcountry terrain complete with mountains, jungles and oceans. Each race team is comprised of four competitors, including at least one member of the opposite sex, and one assistant crewmember that will be helping their team from base camp. Each team will race under a single country flag while making their way through some of the most impenetrable terrain Fiji has to offer.
On Team Endure, a 65-year-old legend and kidney donor with Alzheimer’s teams up with three elites: his son, a professional paddler, and a woman who survived two nights alone in the desert after a deadly fall before being rescued by her dog. They race to celebrate life and support mental health and organ donation. The team is composed of Andrew Speers (support crew, Evergreen, CO), Danelle Ballengee (Moab, UT), Shane Sigle (Durango, CO), Mark Macy (Evergreen, CO) and Travis Macy (Evergreen, CO). Pam Macy (Travis' mother and Mark's wife) has received three life-saving organ transplants.
